My son the Parselmouth

Most of you know that I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Love the books, love the movies. Well one day Jack was walking around the house and speaking some little baby language that none of us can understand. Sean, the clever person that he is, said "Jack is speaking Parseltounge." I laughed because it really did sound like that.
This morning he has been walking around talking Parselmouth to me. So I grabbed the camera and caught it for all of you to see. I am still laughing.
For those of you aren't Potter freaks like me, Parseltounge is the ability to talk to snakes.

The Results

I am sure you have all been waiting anxiously for the results of what happened today. I wish I could tell you more. You see, I was dismissed before the Arbitrator came to his decision. My lawyer said he would call once the decision was made. I never received a call so I am assuming that he is still thinking it over. Other than not having the actual results I feel that it went really well. I won't bore you to death with all of the details, but as my lawyer put it, this was a "nothing accident". My attorney had done his homework and found that the majority of what she said during her deposition was untrue.

Arbitration

Tomorrow is my arbitration hearing. For those of you who don't know, I am being sued.

I bumped, well barely nudged, into the back of a ladies car almost five years ago. My insurance company told me the damage to her car was not even $300. If the car companies had gone back to using rubber bumpers, as my Grandpa Christensen lobbied for them to do when he was President of All-State, then we would of shook hands and been on our merry ways. But no, she wasn't going to let it go that easily.

Last summer I received the papers that she was suing me for an absurd amount of money. It was strange because it had been almost four years since the accident. I then found out that in Utah if you don't file the lawsuit within four years of the accident you loose the chance to. I got the papers two weeks before the chance would of expired.

So over the last year we have had depositions and all of the fun legal stuff that has to happen. Like the "discovery" period where they find out all sorts of stuff about the people involved. Then two months ago I get the letter that instead of going to trial we are going to have an arbitration and hopefully end this once and for all. I was relieved, especially since I had two months to mentally prepare for it.

Now I have less than 24 hours and I can feel my stomach slowly turning into knots. I had a freak out yesterday about nothing, Sean was nice enough to say it was from the stress. So I am writing this to let you all know that you should never hit anyone, OK a little out of our control. But if you do call me in the next 24 hours and I am not as chipper as normal, now you know why.

I will post the results tomorrow. Hopefully it all goes well.

Francisco's: That's Fun to Say, Francisco!

Sarah and I thought we would check out a new local joint here in Farmington. Its the new Mexican restaurant on the corner of main street across from the Davis County Courthouse. We loved it. The food was absolutely delightful. The atmosphere had a very local only feel to it. The chocolate cake was to die for. Can anyone say repletion? Please, check it out sometime. (did anyone catch the movie quote in the title?)

Uncle Chase

Here is a picture of Jack and Uncle Chase (my brother). Raconteur Chase can tell the story a whole lot better than I can. This picture was taken after Chase had taken Jack to the driving range. Apparently Chase would dump the bucket, grab 3 golf balls, tee up and swing away. By this time Jack had put all the golf balls back in the bucket and started the process all over again. Jack sure likes his Uncle Chase!

Doors

Last night we had a big family dinner at my Aunt Janet's house. Jack had the time of his life playing with her little toy van. He LOVES doors and this has two of them. He played with it for hours and was so mad when I took him away from it. As you can see from the pictures he rarely sat in it. He would open one door and slide through to the other side to open the other door. SO CUTE. I really appreciated it being there because then I actual got to sit and chat instead of chase him around. It was a fun night and needless to say I will now be surfing the internet in search of a similar van.
