I hope you all had a great Halloween with lots and lots of sweets!! We sure had fun. We decided to forgo the trick or treating part again this year, as Jack is still a little to young. Instead we got dressed up and visited the grandparents. At the Martin's we ate scary pizza and carved a pumpkin. We had thought that Jack would love to play with the mushy stuff, but it turns out that he wanted nothing to do with it. We visited a few neighbors, that Sean and I got to know well when we lived there. At one of the houses Jack managed to get away with a pumpkin instead of a piece of candy. Then at great Aunt Nina's he loved all of her decorations, especially the sparkly pumpkins.
At the Godfrey's Jack decided that the best part of the evening was when the kids would come to the door. So he took up his post on the porch and waited with the bowl of candy for the kids to come. He loved handing out the candy. He is a hoot.

Party Time
The week before Halloween we were invited the annual Hale-o-ween Party thrown by our friends the Hales. It was a blast! Everyone is required to wear costumes and it was fun to see everyone dressed up. Jack this year was a Jack-o-lantern. Sean tried for days to find a Joker costume but we couldn't find anything that worked, so we improvised. The face was enough to make little girls cry, so I guess we didn't need the suit.

Bed Time
Lately Jack has been really funny about going to bed. He will go with no fuss as long as he can take his favorite toy from that day along with him. Last week it was a bunch of ballons that Grandma Doris had given him. Then it was his ball or stuffed dog. Tonight it was a little bin full of cars. The funny thing is that they aren't his cars. We went and visited our friends, the Hale's, who just had baby #2 this last weekend; Lucy, and she is so cute and tiny I wanted to bring her home. Anyway Jack was playing with Emma's cars and when it was time to go he secretly put them all away in the bin and then went and stood quietly by the door. He thought he could sneak them out. Sarah graciously let us "borrow" them for the night so we could advoid a meltdown. But when we got home he wouldn't put them down. I changed him into his pj's while he clung to them for dear life. Then of course they ended up in the crib. It just makes me laugh, and don't worry I always remove the item before I go to bed.
Halloween
I love Halloween. It is without a doubt my second favorite time of year, and no it is not just because of the candy and sweets. Today I took Jack out to Gardner's Village (no idea if I spelled that right) and everything was decorated for the season. It was a Halloween dream. After about five minutes of Jack screaming to be released from his stroller I decided to head back to the car and change the stroller for his leash. Best idea ever. He loved running around from pumpkin to pumpkin. Pumpkins are his obsession right now. There were also these amazing witches everywhere. It was a great time. If you live nearby totally get there before Halloween. I went because they have this fun boutique called Bewitched and is all things witch. Which I am going to be for Halloween. So head on over, and call me if you decide to go, I think I could go for a second round.
As you can tell he wasn't really fond of the witches, and no he wasn't exactly excited to be standing by one of them either.
