Our Anniversary
Well Sean and I have now been married six years. It is a little crazy to think that six years has already come and gone. It has flown by. For my birthday this year Sean had one our wedding pictures printed and framed really nice. It is fun to see how much has changed since then. He has surpassed any expectations I may have put on him back then. He is a great husband and truly a great dad. This year we didn't do anything extravagant or exciting, just spent time together. Although he did buy me flowers (sunflowers) and a BIG box of milk dud's. He sure knows how to keep me happy!!

Petting Zoo
My sister-in-law, Megan, had asked me every Tuesday in August to come and meet her for "Two Dollar Tuesday's" at Thanksgiving Point, and on the last Tuesday of the month we made it. We decided to go to the petting zoo. It was a hit. He loved everything. Especially the horses (not ponies) and sheep. He was absolutely fearless when it came to petting and feeding the animals. Since I didn't have quarters to just buy him some corn to feed the animals, he quickly learned to look on the ground for it. He walked around with handfuls of it, ready to feed anything. It was fun to see him so excited about the animals. We will definitely go again sometime

So Mad
I have been waiting to make this post, in hopes that the horrible, downright awful, news might be reversed. I posted a couple weeks ago about Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince coming this November. Well in case you haven't heard (due to being under a rock or something) it has been moved to July 17, 2009. That is ELEVEN months away. I AM SO NOT HAPPY! It is a little fun to read about the others who are not so happy, their are even petitions going around and being sent to Warner Brothers. So silly. I guess the only good news to come out of this is that since Thanksgiving weekend opened up the Twilight premier has been moved up 3 weeks.
I am still mad though.

Teething
Jack has been acting different lately. Screaming uncontrollably at times, for no apparent reason. He has had only 4 teeth till now so we knew he would be getting them soon. First to show up were about 4 molars. Now, about 2 weeks later the rest of his 64 teeth are poking through. I feel bad for the kid. Teething gel works miracles. Short story long; if you have been around Jack lately and he has been crying with no end in sight, it's because his mouth hurts...not because you look funny or stink! I take that back, I know part of its because I look funny. (don't worry, I'm taking medication for it)

Perspective
Here is Jack running through the crowd to feel the asperity of the Salt Lake Temple. We were waiting for Amy (Sarah's cousin) and Ryan to emerge as a newly-wed couple. This photo (to me) captures the perspective of a little person and how different it would feel to come up to the knee cap of everyone around.
Jack being Jack
The other day I caught this on the camera. I thought that you might get a kick out of it. The funniest thing to me is what happened before I got the camera. Jack climbed up onto that chair (which is pretty high) and within 10 seconds had figured out how to turn it on and get a beat going. A DJ in the making.

My Cherub
A while ago I wandered into a bookstore while waiting to meet a friend for lunch. I checked out some cook books, the new LDS books and then I found myself in the parenting section. I glimpsed the cover of a book claiming to be able to help you raise boys into great men. Intrigued I picked it up. Scanning the chapters I noticed one called The Cherubic Age. The chapter talked about how when a boy is between the ages of 1 & 2 they resemble a cherub. Especially while they sleep. I remember laughing out loud when I read that. Thinking to myself that any parent out there would say no matter how old the child, when they are asleep they resemble cherubs. Who needs the chubby cheeks and curly hair? I mean there is never a more peaceful time than when your child is sleeping. At least that is what I think.
Here are a few pictures of Jack when he is sleeping like a little cherub.
