Orange County

Mike White (writer) is a genius. Orange County the movie, not to be confused with the TV series, is on my Top Ten. This is a story about a kid (Shaun Brumder, played by Colin Hanks; son of Tom Hanks) who desperately wants to become a great writer. Shaun feels the only way to accomplish this is to study with his idol/mentor Marcus Skinner (played by Kevin Kline). There are many road block along the path out of Orange County. The list of great actors continues in this: John Lithgow, Chevy Chase, Jack Black, one of the Ghostbusters, and even Ben Stiller. This movie is chuck full of quotable lines. A must see, many times. "Mom, you know money can't buy happiness...Oh grow up, yes it can."
