The Riverwalk

The Riverwalk was my favorite part of San Antonio. It was a lot of fun to walk up and down and see all of the different buildings and restaurants in one tiny little area. Sean and I stayed in a hotel on the Riverwalk so we walked it a lot. I wish we had more pictures to show how fun it was.

El Mercado

Day two involved lots and lots of walking, we walked down the Riverwalk to El Mercado. El Mercado is a big area with Mexican restaurants and shops selling things that you would see in Mexico. Interpretation: millions of shops, everyone selling the same thing. It was lots of fun. We had breakfast at a restaurant there that consisted of the typical tex-mex breakfast: eggs, beans, rice, salsa, and tortillas.

San Antonio Temple

When Sean served in San Antonio the temple was not built yet. It is one of the small temples but it was really beautiful.

Texas Here We Come!!!

Sean TOTALLY surprised me at Christmas with two tickets to San Antonio, Texas!! For those of you who don't know, it is where Sean went on his mission and I have always wanted to go and visit. He tells me stories of yummy food and warm weather, who wouldn't want to go?? After getting Jack all situated with Grandma Martin we were off to the airport!!

We had a lay over in Phoenix that was supposed to be 45 minutes. Once we landed there Sean got us on a flight that was leaving immediately, so that meant no lunch and a 3 hour flight ahead of us. So as soon as we landed in San Antonio we were off to Habanero's Grill.

Sean got the extremely spicy Habanero sauce and LOVED it.

YUMMY!!

New Year's

We spent New Year's Eve this year with a bunch of friends playing games (mostly Rockband) and eating yummy food. The kids had a lot of fun staying up late and playing.
