Gingerbread Houses 2009

Every year we get together with the Hale Family (and sometimes other friends) to hold our annual Gingerbread House making contest. Typically we make them out of graham crackers but this year we made real gingerbread. Here are the results.

The Air Show

We decided to brave the lines and heat and went to the Air Show at Hill Air Force Base. Although the lines were a little longer than I had been anticipating. It was fun to see what we could while we were there. Jack got sunscreen in his eyes and was completely miserable, which of course made me miserable. But we did get to see planes plummeting to the earth only to recover right before they landed, then there was a cool reenactment of Pearl Harbor. We watched the BIG jets from the comfort of my parents backyard. All in all it was fun!!

Jack and Sean

Jack completely enjoyed his lemonade, you can see his red puffy eyes. So sad.

Callie, Sean Kirk and Jack, with a "BIG plane" (as Jack called them) behind them.

Farmington Festival Days

Growing up in Farmington, I'm no stranger to Farmington Festival Days. In fact, the way I talk at these celebrations leads Sarah to believe I'm antediluvian. It really is a lot of fun and a lot bigger than one would think. Here is a picture of (from left to right) Jared Hale, Matt Hale, Myself, and Mason right after the 5k race. Luckily with a 5k race you don't really have to train. I came in with a 25:19 and an 8:08 mile time. This is great considering how out of shape and down right plump I have become. Now where is that massage I was promised?

Remember When

This picture was taken last year in St George (at the Pink Palace). We were there for General Conference weekend. I have a widget on my desktop that circulates through pictures on my hard drive and this one popped up and made me SMILE. This picture was taken 4/2/2007 so Jack would have been about 3 and a half months.
So this picture just popped up on the picture widget. This is me (Sean), I don't know how old I was (ask my mom) but looking at it (contrary to everyone's beliefs) Jack looks nothing like me! Ha Ha Ha.
